jen stern
Jen Urdang Stern is the Founder and Creative Director of 452 Design, established in 2003 to meet a clear need in the market: high-level, strategic design of a traditional agency without their overhead, inflated pricing, or account team layers. Clients work directly with Jen — the designer actually doing the work — for a true one-on-one creative partnership.
At 452, Jen oversees every project from start to finish — guiding strategy, creative direction, and execution. Her approach blends deep expertise with a clear, collaborative process and a commitment to keeping clients on-trend, relevant, and ready to grow.
Before launching her own studio, Jen was Senior Art Director at one of Philadelphia’s leading design studios, where she led projects for national brands and high-growth startups, managing everything from strategy through production — a perfect launching pad for the creation of 452.
With studios in Philadelphia and London, and long-term clients across industries, Jen brings trusted leadership, flexible scale, and fresh creative thinking to every engagement.
Here’s where it gets better: the 452/Andreucci collab — a creative partnership where Jen brings the strategy and design expertise, and Amanda brings the cool-factor and cultural fluency of a new generation — particularly in web and social spaces — keeping our work fresh, relevant, and strategically on point.

AMANDA ANDREUCCI
Amanda Andreucci, Jen’s former star college student, is a graphic designer and Creative Collaborator, brought on to help meet the evolving needs of today’s brands — from dynamic social content to digital campaigns and packaging that packs a punch.
Amanda seamlessly partners with 452 Design on projects that call for bold, modern visuals that resonate across digital-first platforms and younger audiences. Her aesthetic is sharp and current — a natural complement to Jen’s strategic depth and design experience, including for clients whose audiences span generations.
Together, Jen and Amanda offer clients the best of both: fresh, forward-thinking design backed by years of expertise and big-picture perspective.
teaching
nonprofit work
Jen Stern fuels her passion for giving back through teaching. Inspired by the lasting impact of her own professors and mentors, she always aspired to teach and support the next generation of creatives. In 2018, she became an adjunct professor at Tyler School of Art & Architecture, where she was honored with the Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award in 2021. In 2024, she joined the faculty at Moore College of Art & Design as an adjunct, where teached Typography to college juniors.
Jen Stern has long woven service and community leadership into her design career. She was Co-Chair and Co-Founder of the Young Friends of the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania; an original member of the Teen Empowerment Program Committee for Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia; Co-Chair of the Young Friends of the American Associates of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev; and Co-Chair of the Pink Tie Ball of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Philadelphia.
She currently serves on the Directors Leadership Council at the Abramson Cancer Center — where she and Daniel Stern received the Distinguished Partners in Hope Award in 2015, and served on the Executive Development Committee at Friends’ Central School through 2024. Jen serves on the Graphic Arts Occupational Advisory Committee at Jules Mastbaum High School in the School District of Philadelphia. She led the redesign of the children’s playroom at Families Forward, a Philadelphia-based homeless shelter.
Jen’s pro bono and nonprofit design clients have included Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Drexel University Center for Hunger-Free Communities and Vetri Foundation for Children. In 2025, Jen created and developed the LA Strong Now + Always campaign in response to the California wildfires — directing 100% of proceeds to fire victims through a design-driven relief effort.
Her work has been featured in the We the Women traveling poster exhibition, including two posters highlighting women’s voices in design and activism.
