Well, I'd like to think they're my competition.

True Hand Society. I'm a little obsessed with their work. They're doing Philadelphia sports design too — technically a competitor, though our styles pull in different directions. Fly Society 215 leans minimal and elevated. Theirs has this bold, handcrafted soul that just stops me cold. It's so freaking cool.

And to be clear: I have no skin in this game. I don't even know how I started following them, I don't know anyone who works there, I don't have tattoos (which seems to be a big part of their gig), and they definitely don't seem to need a plug from me.

I know how cheesy this is going to sound, but it's 100% true. After all these years getting to do what I love as a career — and after some pretty rough times that made me appreciate all the good — the thing I always have come back to is gratitude (since before it became a thing) and literally wondering what I can do with it. Especially in a climate this polarized and this competitive. In this case, it's just pointing at work that blows me away and saying: look at this.
